Dear Friends and Colleagues,

First of all the reminder that the Call for Papers for the European Textile Forum is going until September 1 - so if you would like to meet up November 2-8 to discuss everything around knots, please do register on our website.

 

A second reminder concerns a French conference with felt as the topic: The conference will take place online on December 9, and the CfP for papers has been extended until October 1. Both French and English papers are welcome; you can find more information in the attached pdf. 

 

Finally - I am not sure if I have posted this before, but there is a very handy mapping system for organic remains available. It is a template for photoshop that is quite widely in use in Germany, and it has been translated to English to be accessible to more users. It is a little hard to find on the pages of the Bayerisches Landesamt für Denkmalpflege, but if you click these links, you can download directly the pdf with instructions as well as the templates and materials in a zip file from their servers.
