Sabine Ringenberg, co-founder of the European Textile Forum, has passed away after a long struggle against multiple sclerosis.
Sabine had a quirky humour and a passion for historical dyeing. She was always up to a challenge, and always happy to prove some assumption made by Pliny the Elder wrong. She loved to dye, especially red colours, and to help others learn about dyes and dyeing. For this, she drew on her knowledge about chemistry, but also on her vast practical experience.
Sabine is now free again after having been limited more and more by her illness. She will remain in hearts and memories all over the world, and her spirit will live on in the European Textile Forum.
